I wanted to write this as an explanation to the people that probably wonder why I don’t accept help many times in my everyday activities. I have employed a simple philosophy in getting around in my life. Expect obstacles, and if something is easily navigable it is just a bonus. While 75% of the time people offer to help me get my chair out of the car, many times I decline. I want to prepare for the times when I am by myself, and I don’t want to get used to having people do things for me.
Disclaimer: my wife does not apply here. She absolutely spoils me, and she has never wavered in her support.
This correlates well to our spiritual life. Many times, we don’t truly seek God until we need it…until we run into an obstacle or tough time. We have not conditioned ourselves to depend on Him in good times and bad. We must go to Him in the times of no stress and the times where we are scared to death.
We must seek the relationship during good times so that we know where to go when we feel everything unraveling.
27 “Behold, I am the LORD , the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?
I love you all!
